To our valued customers:

 

We want to assure you that we take the health and well being of our community, customers and employees very seriously and are closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We will continue to follow the guidelines set

forth by the CDC, the state of Massachusetts and the Federal government.

 

At this moment, our business and services clearly fall under the essential businesses in many categories. Therefore, we plan to operate business hours as usual.  Of course, implementing the necessary precautions to protect the staff and customers.  We need to remain open and functioning to provide much needed services to government, state and local agencies with whom we are contracted to provide services and equipment, as well as many medical facilities which rely on our services. On March 19th, 2020 the Department of Homeland Security designated Generac as a critical infrastructure company, thereby extending our need to remain open to provide emergency power options to the community.  Safety is first, no question.  However, doing our part in keeping the economy moving forward by protecting homeowners and businesses is also an important contribution we can make.  People need paychecks and healthcare now more than ever.

 

As the grass starts to green, our business gears up to service our customers with outdoor power equipment sales and service. With more and more of our community members mandated to stay home, work from home and therefore rely even more heavily on reliable  power in thier homes, we understand your concerns in your back up power needs.

But this year, we are in an unprecedented situation.

 

The ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has created a fluid environment where things are changing at a fast pace. Our business has always been dedicated to taking care of our customers – and this situation is no different.

 

To ensure the best experience for our customers, our business is working tirelessly to protect you and our employees in the following ways:

 

Home Standby Generator Service - All home standby generator maintenance and repairs are continuing as scheduled per customer communication level basis.  Most service requires no technician/customer interaction and interactions needed can be completed via telephone with each customer. This will continue to ensure our emergency power customers peace of mind that their generators will function in the event of an outage.

 

From March 21st to March 23rd we completed a full deep clean and sterilization process throughout our facility so we can remain open to serve the needs of our customers in the weeks/months to come.

 

The steps we are taking:

 

Showroom Cleaning – We clean our facility every evening, which includes wiping down all showroom inventory during the day

 

High-Touch Areas – Our staff is ensuring that high-touch areas, like doors and counters, are receiving more frequent cleaning throughout the day. Touch screens and customer touch areas are sanitized between each customer.

 

Social distancing - We are encouraging all customers and employee to practice safe social distance while picking up and dropping of equipment and parts. We will be implanting special drop off and pick up practices to facilitate this transition.

 

Staff & Customer Hygiene – Our emplyees have been instructed to stay home if they feel sick or display any symptoms associated with the virus.  Our facility has restrooms that are fully stocked with hand soap and towels and sanatizer. Our staff has been encouraged to wash their hands frequently.

 

If you need assistance with your outdoor power equipment needs – whether it be purchasing new equipment, parts, or scheduling service – but prefer not to visit the showroom, there are several ways we can still assist you. Our trained staff can help you with a new equipment purchase, answer your outdoor power equipment questions or schedule a service appointment without an in-person visit.

 

We are expanding our pick-up and delivery services to include smaller handheld equipment such as chainsaws, trimmer, blowers etc. so that customers can remain home with their families and children and still get their equipment service needs met. No customer interaction will be necessary during pick-up and delivery of equipment so that all involved can maintain safe social distancing practices
